This is Teacher Appreciation Week in Illinois. We want to thank our teachers for doing the best job that they can do in these difficult times in education. It is easy for people to say how they think things should be done when they are not walking in the shoes of a teacher, staff member, or coach. It is easy for some people to jump on Facebook and complain about something going on at the school when they have not got all the facts and do not have to consider the school district as a whole when decisions are made. One week is not enough appreciation for our staff at Thompsonville. To all the teachers, support staff, custodians, and coaches, Thank You for all you do. Thank you for being teachers to our kids, thank you for cleaning up after our kids, and thank you for being parents to our kids as well. The majority of the public has no idea how you, as a staff go above and beyond for our students. I do though, I see it EVERYDAY!! Thank you all!!!
