🐅💙 Proud Tiger Moment! 🐅💙 Today we were reminded why we do what we do. Our Thompsonville School District hosted a Field Day Event earlier this year for surrounding schools and this week, we received the sweetest surprise. We were sent a heartfelt thank you letter from a K–3 Special Education teacher at Sesser, along with a wall full of handmade thank you drawings from their students. Their teachers shared that their students are still talking about the event and that it was a highlight of their school year so far with all the fun games. And that the T-shirts we provided are something they’ll cherish for a long time. Seeing these notes and pictures reminds us how important these community days are and not just for fun, but for connection, joy, and making every child feel seen, included, and celebrated. To our volunteers, staff, sponsors, and students, YOU made this impact happen. Your time, your energy, your heart… it mattered more than you know. And to our friends at Sesser: Thank YOU for taking the time to share these sweet letters and artwork. 7th grade had 🔥heated 🔥debates in class today. We have been reading about Phineas Gage, who had a tamping iron shoot through his skull and he lived for many years!

There will be no after school tutoring on Monday, November 24th. Tutoring will resume as normal on Monday, December 1st.

3rd grade completed the reading unit on the skeletal, muscular, and nervous system of the human body. To end the unit, students operated on the human body, playing Operation, and assembled human body models, labeled the parts of the brain, went on a skeletal system scavenger hunt, and made a muscular system hand craft.

I would like to give a huge shout out to our community and the Booster Club on a terrific Blue & White Night. You guys packed the gym and made it a great evening.

🏀 Junior High Boys Basketball — This Week’s Games! 🐅💙 Tiger fans, we’ve got two games on the schedule this week, and we want to make sure everyone has the updated info! 📅 Monday Night 📍 at Galatia ⏰ Game time as scheduled — come cheer on our boys as they take the court! 📅 Thursday Night 📍 at Gallatin County ⏰ This is a newly added game to our schedule. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss it!
