Another group of photos from the junior high Virtual Reality Experience through Rend Lake College. The students also spent time researching different careers. It was exciting to learn about the many different career paths the students are interested in!

A few High School students attended a Pepsi Tour, stopped by Ziggi's for a refreshing drink, and then headed to Ray Fosse Park for some much-needed fresh air on a beautiful day in March. The next stop was a job shadowing opportunity at Mad Mad's Pizza in West Frankfort, where the students took orders, washed dishes, and served Pizza to local customers. Thank you, Ziggi's, for the invitation and wonderful drinks on a sweet day of learning. So nice to see the students learning skills they can use in the future.

This afternoon these 8th graders got to enjoy the sunshine while wrapping up their lessons on qualitative functions!⛅️ They were also the first class to successfully conquer the "one hundred" group challenge. The students had to take turns shouting out the next number until they counted all the way up to one hundred. The challenge - they can't go in any specific order within their group (so they must randomly shout), and if two of them shouted a number at the same time they had to start back over at 1. With lots of communication, unbroken eye contact, and loads of patience they were successful in their mission!💯 They will testify - it is more difficult than you would think! Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
