Students worked in groups in Science class today to recreate cells using materials given. They were to choose either a plant or animal cell and use the materials given to create the cell's organelles and write a description of each organelle.
Just a reminder... Tiger Pride T-shirt order forms and payment are due this Thursday, September 7th! All K-4 students need a shirt. Orders are optional for grades 5-12. Student shirts are $7. Parent shirts are $8. 🐅

Due to the boil water order, it is suggested that students bring a bottle of water to school until the order is lifted, if possible. However, there will be water coolers available for those who need it.

A few more positive office referrals from some of our students! Parker, Brock, Kealoha, Chiarra, Ann, Nolan and Wyatt have been using their free time to make the school a better place. They clean up after others, they show others how to be hard workers, and they are great friends to others! Keep up the great work!

These 3rd grade students have made some big accomplishments! Bria, Jude, and Elliotte completed a level on Lexia. Connor, Colten, Jude, Kayden, Bria, Hadlie, and Karma scored 100% on their social studies test! Great job! 🌟

E-LEARNING PROGRAM
The Board of Education of Thompsonville Community Unit School District 174 will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the boardroom located at 21191 Shawneetown Rd., Thompsonville, IL 62890
The purpose of said hearing will be to receive public comment on the proposed e-Learning program, which, if approved, will permit students’ instruction to be received electronically or via paper packets while students are not physically present in lieu of the district’s scheduled emergency days. This program is allowed under Public Act 101-0012. If approved, the e-Learning program will be implemented for a three-year term.
