FFA Week Monday (3/3): Truck Day- Students will pick a brand of truck to represent and wear the color associated with that brand. We will be representing Ford, Dodge, Chevy, and Cybertruck! Tuesday (3/4): Cowboys vs. Farmers- Students are encouraged to wear their western best of farming overalls in this showdown. Wednesday (3/5): Farm Animals- Old McDonald had a farm and so do we! Students can wear clothing with farm animals depicted or go all out and dress up like one of our favorite farm animals. Thursday: (3/6) Drive your Tractor to School Day and FFA Fun Day- Students that have signed up with Mrs. Smith are driving their tractors to school. (Students must be an FFA Member, age 16, and have attended at least two FFA meetings). After the tractor tours, FFA students will get the opportunity to participate in a Cournhole Tournament! Friday (3/7): The FFA is bound for SIU Carbondale for one of their spring CDE events, so we will not be doing a dress up day.

Congratulations to our very own Melanie Henson! Melanie was chosen by SEIEC as one of two winners to represent Youth to Springfield and Youth to Washington. Because of South Eastern Electric Cooperative's contest and sponsorship, Melanie will be able to meet elected senators and representatives at our state capitol and learn first hand about the workings of our state government this March. This summer Melanie will be able to experience an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. where she and other students from Illinois will be able to meet U.S. Senators and have lunch with U.S. Representatives on Capitol Hill. Congratulations Melanie, we are so proud of you!

We still plan on having a game tonight, but please understand the start time may be delayed and there may or may not be a JV game. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, please still come out and support our team!
