Congratulations to our very own Melanie Henson! Melanie was chosen by SEIEC as one of two winners to represent Youth to Springfield and Youth to Washington. Because of South Eastern Electric Cooperative's contest and sponsorship, Melanie will be able to meet elected senators and representatives at our state capitol and learn first hand about the workings of our state government this March. This summer Melanie will be able to experience an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. where she and other students from Illinois will be able to meet U.S. Senators and have lunch with U.S. Representatives on Capitol Hill.
Congratulations Melanie, we are so proud of you!

A couple of weeks ago 5th grade was able to put their research and architecture skills to use! We finished a Native American Unit and students presented their projects to the school!

🌟 Kindness Club Update! 🌟
We had a fantastic time spreading smiles at our High Five Friday on February 14 — though this time, we kept it germ-free with friendly waves instead of high-fives! 👋👋
Our Valentine's Day Party on February 13 was full of fun, friendship, and sweet moments. ❤️
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for our next event — an Everything Green Party on March 17 at Lunch! 🍀 Come dressed in your favorite green gear and bring a green-colored snack (or something packaged in green) to share with 15-20 people. If you can't bring something but would still like to join the fun, please let Mrs. Fisher know!
Exciting news — we're also putting together a schedule for some of our Kindness Club Members to have lunch with elementary students. It’s a great way to spread kindness and build connections across our school!

🌟 Huge congratulations to our very own Jamesyn Samples! 🌟
Jamesyn has qualified for State once again in both the 100 Fly and 100 Freestyle! He placed 2nd in both events and achieved a new personal best by dropping time in his 100 Fly!
We are so proud of his hard work and dedication — can’t wait to see him shine at State! Let’s go, Jamesyn! 💪🏊♂️
