Services for Debbie Heern will be held Monday, June 28 at Thompsonville First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00-1:00, with the funeral service at 1:00. Burial will take place in Makanda, IL.

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our school family members. Mrs Debbie Heern, worked in our kitchen for over 25 years and drove a bus for our district for 10 years. She will be greatly missed, and our small school will not be the same without her. She has went through many trials in life, yet always had a smile on her face. She was willing to help anyone that needed it, especially the many students that she served in our school. She donated much of her free time in helping fundraise for St Judes. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family during this time. Debbie will always be a Thompsonville Tiger, and we know she will be watching down on us.

As we say goodbye to our students for the summer and this crazy school year, we want to thank all of the parents/guardians, and families that worked with us this difficult year.
This year has been the most difficult year this school and its employees have seen in a generation.
We want everyone to know that each decision that was made this year was in the best interest of the students that go to Thompsonville.
We understand that not everyone agreed with our decisions, but we want to thank you for still supporting the school through this year.
We want to also thank the students this year. We know the students suffered more than anyone else this year, but the majority of them still came to school every day and made the best of a bad situation. Thank You!!
Enjoy Your Summer!! You have earned it!!
We will have our plan for next year out in the next couple of weeks. I will tell you that August 10th will be the first day for student attendance.
