Grade school students ended summer camp reading “Pop! The Invention of Bubble Gum” and learned about how bubble gum is made. We had a bubble gum blowing contest and made bubble art. 🫧 We ended the day doing an escape to the beach challenge and ate a sweet treat!🍦

More pictures of the fun at the Benton Public Library!

🏴☠️⚓️Summer School went on a field trip to the Benton Public Library today. The kids had a blast! They played in the Reading Garden, played yard games, climbed on the pirate ship, blew bubbles, painted....so many activities! It was a beautiful day that ended with an ice cream treat from the library. 😋

Grade school summer camp read “The Water Princess” and made water filters using the following materials: coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper, paper, and tissues, to see which filters water and coffee grounds best.💧Then, we read “Across the Bay” and students built paper boats and tested them on water to see if they floated. Unfortunately some boats started to sink. 🚤 Finally, we read “What to do with a Box?” and students drew a picture of what they would make with a box. 📦
